mirSense is a high-technology manufacturer specializing in mid-infrared (mid-IR) quantum cascade laser (QCL) technologies and photoacoustic-based gas sensing systems. The company optimizes QCL solutions for both defense applications—such as DIRCM and chemical threat detection—and industrial/spectroscopic measurement platforms.

As TARGET, we act as mirSense’s solution partner in Türkiye, providing integration, engineering consultancy, and local technical support for all QCL laser modules, OEM driver solutions, and turnkey systems.

mirSense’s core activities are built around its fully in-house designed Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) technology.

QCLs are compact, lightweight, and rugged semiconductor laser sources capable of delivering high output power in the mid-IR region. These lasers:

• Operate over a broad spectral range from 3 µm to 20 µm
• Utilize two distinct semiconductor platforms, InP and InAs (mirSense is the only manufacturer combining both technologies)
• Support both pulsed (QCW) and continuous-wave (CW) operation modes
• mirSense QCL structures are engineered as precision heterostructures composed of hundreds of nanoscale layers. This approach allows the laser emission wavelength to be defined by layer thicknesses rather than bulk material properties, enabling exceptional spectral control and performance.

mirSense’s primary product family for defense and security applications is PowerMir.

PowerMir consists of ITAR-free, high-power mid-infrared (mid-IR) QCL systems, specifically designed for mission-critical use cases such as:

• DIRCM (Direct Infrared Countermeasure) systems
• Toxic gas detection
• Stand-off detection of chemical clouds
• Spectroscopy-based security applications

PowerMir is available in multiple system configurations, including HHL-Packaged Lasers, OEM modules, and turnkey benchtop systems, enabling flexible integration across diverse operational requirements.
